PSSP OAA Week

960 pupils from various schools over Plymouth sailed across on the Cremyll Ferry last week to arrive at the lovely Mount Edgcumbe grounds, to take part in their outdoor adventurous transition day.

Pupils took part in four different activities on rotation, these being:

Beach Art

Orienteering

Team building games such as a water assault course and parachute games

Sports that are being played in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games this summer.

The pupils loved experiencing the Cremyll Ferry, each activity and going to a new place to experience them. Mount Edgcumbe was a lovely setting to take part as there were lots of space and lovely grounds for them to run around. They had a great time on the beach looking for natural objects they can use to make their pictures from and enjoyed running up to the house at the top of the hill to find the answers to the orienteering cards.

For many of the children it was their first time on the Cremyll Ferry as well, we had lovely feedback from the staff saying that children behaved impeccably on the trip over and were excited about going on the water.

Lots of children said they would love to come back to Mount Edgcumbe and explore more!

Well done to everyone that took part and thank you to the amazing leaders from the schools that came to help across the week. We hope you all enjoyed it!
