Primary & Special Schools Football 24/04/2024

Wednesday 24^th April 2024 – What a fantastic morning at our termly PSSP Inclusion Football event. 6 schools came along to compete in our friendly tournament aimed at promoting teamwork, respect and having a whole lot of fun. Cann Bridge, Leigham, Old Priory, Widewell, Pennycross and Plympton St. Maurice arrived full of energy and ready to play. As always, we had an amazing team of sports leaders from Stoke Damerel Secondary on hand to referee and score all of the events. I couldn’t wish for better support – they are amazing with the children and really help to make the event a special one. Thank you Miss Crowe for organising them for me, they are brilliant! This event is a round-robin  so every school gets to play all of the others. 5 points are awarded for a win, 3 points for a draw and 1 point for a loss. Once all of the games are played, the scores are collated and we present the children with their certificates on the main pitch. Congratulations to Leigham who were the overall winners today and to Cann Bridge – who were a close second. Well done to everyone who took part today, I really hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. We have one more for this academic year so make sure you are signed up and I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 19^th June 2024.
