KS1 Change 4 Life Festival 2024

Twelve schools attended this years Change 4 Life Festival held at Marjon University. There were various activties on offer such as Fruit Mashup, Adventures of Robin Hood, Super Mario to the rescue, Temple Run, Hit the target, Peter Pan and Captain Hook, the Climbing Wall and Dance Academy. The intentions of these activties were to be active, have fun, meet new people and learn new skills. After a quick welcome speech the children were sent to their first and second activties. This was followed by a short lunch break where there were special guests, the Lion and the Lamb from the University to have photos with and say hello to. The children seemed to really enjoy the day and make some new friends from other schools.

Children then went to two more activties before regrouping for a Q+A session with a very important guest who was Emily Currie. Emily is a pro surfer and 21x national champion. She is currently trialling for the 2028 Olympics! The children asked some very inquisitive questions and then had the opportunity to meet Emily and have photos. A Huge thank you to Marjon University for the venue and also providing some fantastic students who ran some of the sessions.
