Eggbuckland Indoor Athletics Heat 2023

The penultimate indoor athletics heat was held at Eggbuckland community college. There were 4 schools taking part that were Compton, Widey Court, Eggbuckland Vale and St. Edwards. The first event for the boys was the standing long jump and triple jump and for the girls was the 1+1 lap relay followed by the 6 lap parlauf. Other races included the 2+2, 4x1 relay and the obstacle relay. The other field events were the Chest push and the speed bounce.

On the track it was very close throughout the afternoon with no one team dominating meaning it would come down to the field event results. Congratulations to Compton who qualify for the athletics finals in January. Well done to all athletes and a big thank you to Eggbuckland for providing some fantastic leaders. Please see results below.
