Quicksticks 2023

After being postponed due to sever weather, our Quicksticks 2023 events ran in lovely sunshine and warm conditions. The event was split into two, one was a competitive competition and the other a non-competitive competition.

The competitive competition consisted of 6 teams that all played each other in a round robin style tournament. There were some very close games with lots of goals being scored. It was still hard to predict the winners even going into the final few games.

Meanwhile in the non-competitive event children were learning basic skills of how to hold the hockey sticks, passing and also dribbling and shooting. Our young leaders from Plymouth High School for Girls took a team each and coached them good practice. These teams then played mini matches within their teams before moving on to play other schools in coached games.

A huge well done to everyone that took part and congratulations on Compton who won the competitive event overall, not losing a game! Thank you to Plymouth High School for Girls for officiating the matches and also helping with the non-competitive event.
