School Games Cyclocross Fun Ride

The School Games Cyclocross fun bike ride is an event that is aimed at improving children’s confidence on bikes through skills games and challenges. This was then followed by a few fun races between schools. There were 5 activities to start with that included:

-          Postman Race (Children had to ride their bikes and post the letters into the box)

-          Bike pump challenge (How fast someone can pump a tyre to 25psi pressure

-          Walk the plank (Children had to navigate through a tight course to try and avoid the cone

-          Downhill drop (Children practice going downhill without peddling to see how far they can get

-          Free Ride (Children go on a free ride around the fields, looking at cycling infrastructure

After all the activities the children got to try the course that had been used in the morning for the competitive event. There was even enough time for the children to do the course in reverse. A big thank you to the OPM rugby club for allowing us to use their facilities throughout the day.
