Widewell Y5/6 Level 1 Archery 2023

Thursday 18^th May 2023 – Round 2 for our Widewell Archery House competition. Today it was Y5 and Y6’s turn to take part in our friendly event. Every child took part, representing their House team of either Bigbury, Bovisand, Jennycliff or Wembury. Today I had some Y6 leaders with me to support the participants and give them some coaching tips. After a practice round, each person had 6 arrows to score as highly as possible for their house. At the end of the morning, the results were calculated and they were staggering! Every House team scored well over 1,000 points! We need to get you guys to an Archery club! When I was finally able to calculate all the scores, the results were announced… Congratulations to Bigbury, who were our overall winners today, and to Wembury who were a close second again (as they were in the Y3/4 competition). Well done to everyone who took part and a big thank you to Jasmine, Leo, Isabelle, Archie and Phillip for their great job at leading.
