Devon FA - Yr 3 & 4 Football Festival

In partnership with the Premier League and the FA, the English Schools Football Association are delighted to launch the Kickabout campaign. Kickabout has been created to give year 3 and 4 pupils across the country the opportunity to get involved in schools’ football.

Devon FA are delighted to have been chosen as the local host for a Kickabout festival.

Details for this event are as follows:

DATE: Thursday 22nd June 2023

VENUE: Devon FA, Coach Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 1EJ

TIMINGS:

Boys – 10:00am – 11:45am

Girls – 12:45pm – 2:30pm

The festival will be an opportunity for the children to take part in a variety of football related games and activities, a little bit like a school’s sports day. There will not be a competition or ‘winner’ of the event. We simply want to create a fun and relaxed football themed event. Schools who are invited will be able to bring 10 children to the relevant session (boys or girls). We will invite a total of 10 schools per session (10 schools for the boys and 10 schools for the girls’ sessions) with an overall aim of welcoming up to 200 children across the day.

These children MUST be from year 3 and 4 only and we are encouraging schools to ensure that a good percentage of the 10 spaces are given to children who may not normally participate in football but would like to give it a go.

What we need from you?

 We are restricted on the number of schools we can invite to this event (10 schools for each of the boys and girls’ sessions). Therefore, if your school would like to attend this event, please can you complete the following expression of interest form by end of play on Wednesday 25th May.

On Thursday 26th May we will collate all the entries and confirm via email to the schools who are being invited. Should we get interest from schools attending over the maximum number of 10 schools per session, we will perform a random draw to offer the 10 invites. Schools will be contacted on Thursday 26th May to confirm whether you have been invited or not to the event. Schools who are invited will also be sent further details regarding exact timings, arrival details and other information you will need.
