Super 8 Start 2023

The sun was shining for the PSSP Super 8 start event which welcomed 7 teams from 9 schools. Each team arrived eagerly awaiting to get started with their squad of 16 (8 Boys + 8 Girls). The first event of the afternoon was the 70m Hurdle races. Once these were completed the boys took to their field events which consisted of Long jump, High Jump, Javelin and shot put. The girls had their turn on the track events which were 100m, 200m, + 800m races. The athletes then switched over. The final races were the Girls and boys relays followed by mixed relays. The athletes were brilliant all day with some amazing scores and times being recorded. Congratulations to everyone who took part, especially to Devonport High School Boys and Girls who triumphed in first place with 1443 points. A huge thank you to the teachers who helped with events on the day and the City College Leaders who did a great job of officiation the events.
