Tor Bridge Family Y2 Multi Skills 2023

Monday 27th March 2023 – Our fantastic team of sports leaders from Tor Bridge High hosted a Multi Skills event for Y2 children in our local primary schools. We had 3 teams with us today: Thornbury, St. Matthew’s and Widewell. Although this is a competitive event, our main focus is on having fun, and thanks to the hard work of our leaders, there were definitely lots of happy children with us this afternoon. There are 7 activity areas in total, with 5 of them being scored events. The activities range from tests of skill and accuracy with the Bean Bag Throw; team events such as a Sprint Relay and Ladder Relay; speed and agility with the Speed Bounce and even a test of strength with the Chest Push challenge. Every child participates in all of the events and helps to score points for their team. At the end of the afternoon, the scores are collated and the winners announced… Congratulations to St. Matthew’s who were our overall winning team today, having scored the most points in 3 out of the 5 competitive activities. Full table of results below. A huge well done to everyone who took part, we could see how determined you were to do well for your team – I hope you had fun! I am already looking forward to our next event – check out the PSSP website to see what exciting event is coming up next.
