Coombe Dean KS2 Gymnastics Festival

Pomphlett, Prince Rock and Whitleigh primary schools attended the KS2 gymnastics festival hosted by year 9 leaders at Coombe Dean School and Aspire Gymnastics club today.

Pupils had the opportunity to experience beam, bars, trampette, roller and vaulting activities and were able to try new skills and equipment whilst progressing from simple to more complex skills. At the end of the morning pupils were able to choose their favourite piece of equipment - the hands down winners were the bars and beam!

Well done to Year 9 Coombe Dean students for leading the activities with enthusiasm and thanks to Abbie, lead coach from Aspire Gymnasics club, for her coaching knowledge and expertise.  Hopefully we will run a KS1 Gymnastics festival in the summer term so more children can come and take part.
