KS1 Indoor Athletics (2)

Our second KS1 event of the year kicked off with 6 teams competing. For most of these athletes this was their first time representing their school in a sports event. The first event on the track was the over and under relays which involved jumping over hurdles and running through tunnels.

Meanwhile on the field events we had Chest Push, Long Jump, Javelin and the balance Beam.

The races were highly competitive but above all there was a huge level of excitement from everyone. Towards the end of the event all the children had worked so hard and this could be seen by all the red faces. The final race of the day was the obstacle relay which was similar to the over and under relay with the addition of the high stepper. Results were calculated and sent out to schools. Big thank you to the coombe dean leaders that were fantastic on the day and a huge well done to all the athletes that took part. Please see results attached below
