St. Matthew's Y2 Multi Skills L1 2023

Thursday 09th February 2023 –Today our Y2 classes took part in a Multi Skills competition to have fun and demonstrate the skills they have been practicing in their PE lessons. There were 4 different activity stations with opportunities to score points for their house teams; the Bean Bag Throw tested their accuracy skills as they had to throw a bean bag into different hoops to score different points; the Slalom Relay focused on speed as they had to complete the course as many times as possible as a team; the Tennis Ball challenge tested their agility and seemed to be a firm favourite with both classes; and the Speed Bounce focused on their strength and endurance. Thanks to the great sports leaders from Y6, we were able to keep the scores from each activity and then these were later collated so we could announce our winners… Congratulations to Nightingale House who were our overall winners today. Well done to everyone who took part today – it was fantastic to see so many of you trying hard for your team and enjoying taking part in sport. A huge thank you to Miss Wood for helping me to get all of the equipment ready and for arranging such fab leaders for me.
