Secondary & Special Schools Football 25.01.23

Wednesday 25th January 2023 – A great turn out today for our PSSP Secondary and Special Schools Football event. Students from Coombe Dean, Plympton Academy, Stoke Damerel and Tor Bridge came along to take part in our friendly Football event with a difference. Although teams do play for points, winning is not really the focus for us at this one – instead we focus on the School Games values of Self Belief, Determination and Team Work but even more importantly, we aim to make these games as fun as possible. We play a round-robin format so that every team gets to play all of the others, including the other team representing the same school – these games are always particularly exciting to watch! We had 6 teams in total today so each team had 5 games. At the end of the morning, all of the scores were collated and we celebrated everyone’s success back in the club house with our certificate presentation. Congratulations to Stoke Damerel ‘B’ who were the overall winners today. Fully table of results below. Well done to everyone who took part, I hope you all enjoyed it and would be keen to come back. I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff who pitched in today to help me referee the games- I am so grateful and hopefully you managed to enjoy yourselves too. I look forward to seeing you all at our next event on Wednesday 08th March 2023.
