Our annual PSSP Primary Dance Festival is now LIVE on the website!

Intent – why?

Improve mental health and well-being (state of well-being in which
every child realises his/her own potential
Raise self esteem, self confidence and self worth (think positively about
themselves and how they perceive the world around them)

This year our dance festival will have a theme of the Birmingham Commonwelath Games 2022. Inspire your dances, costumes, props and song choices to link in with this. Get creative and interpret it in your own way. The Birmingham Commonwealth Games has a very colourful mascot called Perry, so it can be as simple as linking in colours or telling a story of your favourite sport through dance, it's up to you!

Schools can bring up to 20 pupils from across the same or mixed year groups.
Teams must arrive with a maximum of 3 pre choreographed dances
Dances must be no longer than 1 minute 30 seconds long and schools can enter more than one dance routine.
Dances can be in groups of your whole team, a selection, pairs or individually.
You MUST send your pre cut music and timings to Hayley before the event. If you do not do this, this could result in complications for your schools performance and they may not be able to perform on the day. A date for this will be sent out to schools attending.
All performers will present their dances to others and watch resepctfully.
You can pick your own costumes or props so get creative!
