Chaddlewood Y3 New Age Kurling 08.07.2021

Our final Level 1 competition for this year and what a way to end a term! Today both Y3 classes were introduced to New Age Kurling. The aim of the game is to slide your teams’ ‘stones’ to get closer to the centre of the target than the oppositions.

After a couple of practice shots, all the children were grouped in their house teams and our round-robin competition got underway. We definitely proved today that practice helps us improve, as the more we played, the closer the games got, and the more competitive our teams became.

After the competition was all wrapped up and before we announced the scores, we played an individual game to see who would finish as the Queen or King of the court (unfortunately, this did not end up being me!). When we were all finished and had sworn our allegiance to our new rulers, we announced the eagerly awaited scores…

Congratulations to the ‘Green’ House who were the Y3 New Age Kurling champions at the end of the morning! A fantastic team effort from both classes.

Well done to everyone who took part today, I hope you all enjoyed it. See you after the Summer for some more PSSP events!
