Devon Level 3 Primary Athletics

A huge congratulaitions to the four primary teams that qualified for the Level 3 Indoor Athletics. They competed against 13 other teams across field and track events to score points for their school.

On the track the girls and boys raced in the 1+1 relay, 2+2, 6 lap parlauf, 4x1, obstacle and over under relay. On the field, young athletes took part in three of the following activities. The chest push, soft javelin, speed bounce, triple jump, standing long jump and verticle jump.There were some fantastic scores by many of the athletes representing Plymouth, with many of them throwing over 10m on the javelin! One athlete even got the highest amount of jumps on the speed bounce!

All this brilliant efforts from everyone both on the track and in the field, added up to Plymouth schools coming:

Woodford- 8th place (458pts)

Montpelier- 4th place (522 points)

Elburton- 3rd place (562 pts)

Bickleigh Down- (584 pts)

A huge well done to you all and a big thank you to leaders from Stoke Damerel and DHSB for your help on the day.
