Tor Bridge Family Y3/4 Kwik Criket

Friday 26th April 2019—I am very pleased to say that rain did not stop play this afternoon for our Y3/4 Kwik Cricket festival. Teams from Bickleigh Down, Montpelier, St. Matthews and Thornbury came along to take part in our friendly, round-robin competition. We had a mix of abilities this afternoon with some children who are playing for local clubs and some who have never played before. Whatever their ability though, we had 3 fantastic young leaders from Tor Bridge High on hand to help them, provide coaching tips and umpire the matches—I would like to say a huge thankyou to Molly, Cory and Dylan for all their hard work this afternoon. All of the teams played each other and were competing for points—5 points for a win, 3 points for a draw and 1 point for a loss. At the end of the afternoon, the results were tallied: Congratulations to Bickleigh Down who were our overall winners today having won all of their matches. Well done as well to Montpelier who were a very close second. Full table of results below. Well done to everyone who took part today, I hope you all enjoyed it and are keen to play some more Cricket. I look forward to seeing you all at our next family event.
