The Well Schools: Well Check is now live

We are excited to officially launch the Youth Sport Trust's Well Schools: Well Check. A brand-new, free self-review tool, built around the refreshed pillars of a Well School: Well Culture, Lead Well, Move Well and Live Well.

The Well Check helps schools to evaluate their strengths and identify key areas for development. Once completed, each school receives a tailored development plan to support their journey towards becoming a Well School – one that places equal emphasis on wellbeing and academic performance. By prioritising health and wellbeing, schools can drive whole-school improvement, boost student engagement, raise academic achievement and meet Ofsted expectations more effectively.

Get started today and take the first step towards embedding wellbeing at the heart of your school’s success.

Youth Leadership Opportunities

Do you know a young leader passionate about PE, sport and physical activity? We’re offering two national roles for young people to help shape the future of sport and play:

  • Youth Sport Trust Youth Board Member (16-24 years-old)
  • Youth Sport Trust Team Leader (18+ years-old).

These roles put young people at the heart of our mission - amplifying youth voice, leading at events and driving change. They can apply for one or both roles in a single application (only one will be appointed). APPLY by the end of August.

Believe in Better, Improving PE for Muslim Girls

Every girl deserves to feel that she belongs in sport, no matter their age, ability, motivation or background.

On Sunday 13 July, The FA and Nike are launching a new guide to support teachers to remove barriers that Muslim girls are facing in sport within schools across the country.

Created alongside Youth Sport Trust and Muslim Sport Foundation, this guide is backed by powerful insight and practical tips to support schools in creating inclusive environments which will allow girls to feel safe and that they belong - we want every girl to know she is Made for this Game.

The guide will be available on the Girls’ Football in Schools website  from the 13 July.
