School Games Organisers funding announcement
We are delighted that Sport England has this week shared confirmation the Government is committed to funding the School Games Organisers (SGOs) until the end of the 2024/25 Academic Year and for the rest of the 2025/26 Financial Year.
We are especially grateful to our SGOs Hayley Tasker and Josh Gilbert for their patience and understanding over recent weeks, and ongoing commitment to supporting children and young people even where there has been uncertainty about the future. That this funding has been secured is testament to the impact SGOs make on a daily basis, as we have highlighted in conversations with government. We are grateful they have listened and acted in response.
