The Big Walk and Wheel 2026 

The Big Walk and Wheel returns until 27 March 2026, encouraging families to get active by walking, wheeling, scooting, or cycling to school where they can. It’s a fun way to boost health and wellbeing for everyone! For free school resources and information take a look here.

PSSP Year 8 Netball Festival Report - Wednesday 18th March

The PSSP Year 8 Netball Festival took place at the Plymouth Life Centre, welcoming 12 teams from 10 schools. Teams competed in two group-stage pools, producing some excellent netball and closely contested matches.

Group Stage Results

  • Group A Winners: DHSG Lightning
  • Group A Runners‑up: Coombe Dean
  • Group B Winners: Hele’s
  • Group B Runners‑up: Plymstock

Semi‑Finals

The semi-finals provided plenty of excitement:

  • DHSG Lightning vs Plymstock
    This match was exceptionally tense, with a dispute over the final score at the end of normal time. An additional five minutes of play was agreed, during which DHSG Lightning secured their place in the final.
  • Hele’s vs Coombe Dean
    Hele’s delivered a strong performance to defeat Coombe Dean and move through to the final.

Final

The final between Hele’s and DHSG Lightning was a thrilling, closely matched contest. After an intense battle, Hele’s emerged victorious with a 5–4 win, claiming the overall title.

Final Placings

  1. 1st – Hele’s
  2. 2nd – DHSG Lightning
  3. 3rd – Plymstock
  4. 4th – Coombe Dean
