We are delighted to welcome Jacob Dale-Smith to the PSSP Team from Monday 9th February 2026.  Jacob is completing a Level 2 Community Activator Coach apprenticeship with Plymouth Argyle Community Trust. Jacob will be supporting all elements of our work programmes and is looking forward to meeting you all.

PSSP Heads of PE Meeting 27.02.26

Our next PSSP Heads of PE Meeting is due to take place on Friday 27th February 2026 from 1.30-3.30pm at Eggbuckland Community College.

As part of our current work on the Sport England 'Active Places ' project, I have asked Professor Liz Durden-Myers to join us to share a contemporary update on the importance of physical literacy including how the concept is being embraced across the policy landscape and what this means for the future of physical education. Liz is currently on the panel writing the new PE Curriculum so it will be great to get her insight into this.  We are hoping that Keira Wylie will also be joining us, I believe she is already working with Ted Wragg Trust schools so will be familiar to many of you.  The PSSP PE Specialist PE teachers have been recently working with Liz and Kiera and we are delighted to be able to extend this to working with Heads of PE.
