Devon Schools Individual Table Tennis Championships

The secondary schools’ championships will be held on Wednesday 28th January 2026 commencing at 10.00am. The venue will be Eggbuckland Community College, Westcott Close, Plymouth, PL6 5YB.

The closing date for entries is Friday 16th January 2026. Please email entries to Bev Townsend btownsend@eggbuckland.com by this date. Late entries will not be considered.

Entry fees: £2.00 per player/per event.

(The school must be affiliated to the Devon Schools TTA. Schools who took part in the November 2025 Team Championships will be affiliated already to Devon Schools TTA - Affiliation fee: £15.00

Barclays Talent Team Webinar - Discover My Talent

The next workshop in the series, delivered by the Barclays Talent Education Team, will take place on Monday 12 January, 4:00-4:30pm

Session aims:-

Build on the key characteristics introduced in our December workshop, focusing on how these can be recognised consistently in school settings
Provide clear guidance on the Discover My Talent referral window opening in January, outlining how teachers can confidently refer a player
Highlight how the national talent framework underpins the referral process and ensures girls are identified and supported in a way that nurtures both their development and wellbeing.

The session will provide school staff with the clarity and confidence needed to make use of the January referral window. This workshop will ensure you have the practical tools to recognise player potential and understand the steps involved in submitting a referral.

Table Cricket Competitions – Enter Now

This year Devon Cricket are running five table cricket competitions across Devon for pupils from SEND Schools and students with SEND in mainstream secondary schools. To find out more about table cricket please click here.

Competitions will take place regionally to ensure all schools have an opportunity to attend a competition near them plus a central ‘County Competition’ where the winner will qualify for the next round. The National Finals are played at Lords!

Our competitions dates and venues are as follows:

Regional:

EAST: Tuesday 13th January @ Budleigh Salterton CC from 10am-1pm

SOUTH: Tuesday 20th January @ Orchard Manor School, Dawlish from 10am-2:30pm

NORTH: TBC - please complete the form if you are interested in attending a competition in the north

WEST: TBC - please complete the form if you are interested in attending a competition in the West

County:

Wednesday 11th February @ University of Exeter from 10am-2pm

Schools can enter as many competitions as they wish. All competitions are open entry. The regional competitions are participation competitions with the County Competition serving as a qualifier for the next round in the National Competition. To enter your school please follow the link below.
