PlayHers is a new inclusive football programme, powered by England Football and the Premier League, designed to help girls aged 7–11 years-old grow in confidence, build essential life skills, and enjoy the game, whatever their experience or ability.

Through fun football activities, PlayHers supports girls to develop self-belief, teamwork, and resilience, helping them take pride in what they achieve both on and off the pitch.

Schools can access free online teacher training and digital resources to support the delivery of this fantastic extra-curricular programme.

Primary Schools Hockey Festival 2026 

We're back for another year in 2026 and hoping to bring you more than ever before!

Thursday 4th June 2026 @ Plymouth Marjons - Approx. 9am-4pm

(Weather backup Friday 5th June 2026) - 6-a-side mixed event, maximum squad of 10 per team

Plymouth Lions are now back running a full schools programme and will have room to deliver school hockey clubs/ lessons in your school on a first come, first served basis so if you have any interest in this, please register your interest in the event and I will be sending updates!

We will also be looking to run mini localised 'festivals' depending on interest in the build up to this years' main event!

To encourage schools in Plymouth to sign up for this event, the Plymouth SSP will pay the entry fee for any Plymouth School.  This is part of a project we are currently working on with England Hockey and the Youth Sports Trust.

FREE Gymnastics Equipment from Marjons 

Marjons are looking to re-home some of their gymnastics equipment (x5 pieces, see below). This will need to be collected but the PSSP can help with this if needed.

If you are interested, please email a.clooke@sjhcsc.co.uk with the piece or pieces of equipment you would like.  This will be allocated between interested schools in order of interest received.
