PSSP Inclusion Programme & Opportunities

Inclusion Header

The Plymouth School Sports Partnership (PSSP) Inclusion Programme is comprised of bespoke opportunities for individual schools and a programme of competition in various sports.

Bespoke sessions for schools

Through membership to the PSSP, schools are able to request bespoke sessions in their schools to address the individual needs of their students and can also be used as CPD for staff.

These are normally run with small groups of low ability children or children with SEND and we can focus on activities such as Boccia, New Age Kurling or Goalball. If you have another activity in mind, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

To book a bespoke session or to find out more about our Inclusion Programme, please contact our Inclusion Co-Ordinator, Claire Cormack.

Boccia and Football  - Social Stories

For many of the Inclusive events that we host, we have a number of children with ASD attend. In order to help them to prepare for some of these events, I have put together some social stories that you can share with them. If you would like any additional support in preparing your children to attend a PSSP event, please just get in contact.

Inclusive At Home Activities

This year, the PSSP have teamed up with Penathlon to bring even more inclusive events and opportunities to partnership schools. In response to the lockdown, Penathlon  released a series of Inclusive At Home Activities that can be played with everyday household items. They have also created some activity ideas and resources for teachers to run parallel sessions for the children still attending school.
