Thursday 15th October 2026 - Today’s School Games Fun Run at Staddiscombe Playing Fields this morning was a fantastic event, with over 100 children taking part!

Although it was a little foggy on arrival, the fog soon cleared, leaving the children ready to enjoy a fun-filled activity outdoors.

On arrival, children received a booklet to complete as they made their way around the playing fields. Cards were placed at various locations around the course, encouraging the children to explore, find the answers and fill in their booklets. Along the way, they also took part in a variety of fun sports challenges, adding an extra element of excitement to the event.

To make the morning even more special, every child was given a balloon to take home.

It was wonderful to see so many children getting involved, being active and enjoying themselves. We’ve already received lovely feedback from the children, who said, “We loved it, thank you!”

A big thank you to everyone who helped make today’s School Games Fun Run such an enjoyable and memorable experience. It was great to see so many happy faces and so much enthusiasm throughout the morning, and a massive thank you to the leaders from Stoke Damerel Community College for your support, pictured below.
