Pupils from 12 primary schools gathered today at Foulston Park for the Intermediate Athletics event, to compete in a full programme of track and field activities. The atmosphere throughout the day was energetic and positive, with students demonstrating excellent teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship.

Despite some challenging weather conditions, including a few very heavy downpours, the event continued to run successfully. Lucky the rain did little to dampen the enthusiasm of the participants, who showed great determination and perseverance throughout the day.

The resilience shown by all involved was particularly commendable, with pupils embracing the conditions and demonstrating a fantastic attitude. Spectators and staff also played an important role in keeping spirits high, offering encouragement and support from the sidelines.

A big thank-you today from the leaders who supported the event, Eggbuckland Community College and Notre Dame.

Well done to all schools and pupils who took part – a memorable day of athletics, whatever the weather!
