PLYMPTON FAMILY TAG RUGBY 2026

Tuesday 21st April 2026 – Perfect weather for flying kites today, perhaps slightly breezy for our annual Plympton Family Tag Rugby coaching event but… 4 teams (3 teams from Montpelier and 1 team from Chaddlewood) came along to take part in our non-competitive coaching festival. Today’s focus was not on winning but on helping children to develop their Tag Rugby skills and team-work ahead of the PSSP competition later in the term. All of the teams had the opportunity to play against each other and our Sports Leaders (who were our fabulous referees) were encouraged to coach throughout, as well as the teachers – to identify any consistent errors and work on them. As it turned out, there were very few inconsistencies – we had 4 well drilled teams this afternoon which I am sure will prove to be very competitive at the upcoming festival. It was such an enjoyable event today – no pressure to get the win, just children enjoying being physically active and playing sport with friends. Best of luck at the upcoming PSSP competition all and a huge thank you to Charlie and Finley for their incredible refereeing.
