Wednesday 05^th March 2025 – After fog so thick it looked like pea soup this morning, the sun came out just in time for the kick off of this terms’ PSSP Inclusion Football festival. 5 schools attended to compete in our friendly tournament aimed at promoting teamwork, respect and mostly having a lot of fun.

A great morning of sport today – another PSSP Primary Inclusion Boccia event was hosted by 4 new Sports Leaders from Plympton Academy

Wednesday 5^th February - We held the year 3/4 indoor athletics event at the Life Centre. 10 teams came to compete, bringing many children who had never taken part in this event before. 

During the event, children took part in various relay races on the track and also field events. These included standing long jump, javelin, speed bounce and chest push. We saw some fantastic results on each event and a lot of close finishes!

The event finished with an all-time favourite, the obstacle race! Children had to hop through a high stepper, jump on the speed bounce, leap over a hurdle and sprint as fast as they could back to their team. 

A huge well done to all teams that came to participate, you all had great determination and resilience in all you did.

2 schools entered the Primary year 5/6 basketball competition held at Coombe Dean School today. Teams from Elburton and Pomphlett arrived with their squads which were divided into an A and B team so a round robin competition could be held.  Games were 12 mins in length with a short break, during which the teams' changed ends.  Every time a basket was scored, a big cheer went up before the teams quickly continued their game. There was some great skill on display and every game ended with a score.  The morning was run by year 7 and 8 boys from the Coombe Dean basketball team who did a great job at officiating , score keeping, motivating and handing out certificates, stickers and fist bumps!

1^st Place - Pomphlett B

2^nd Place - Elburton B

3^rd Place - Elburton A

4^th Place - Pomphlett A

Well done to everyone who took part today and congratulations to Pomphlett who go through to a final game to be played at Plympton Academy on Wednesday 2^nd April 3.30pm.
