After a very frosty start to the day once again the pre ordered sunshine came out to give us perfect conditions for this year’s Plymouth and West Devon secondary cross country event.
In all 15 of our local secondary schools took part giving us one of the biggest entries of the decade.
Each year group ran around the pre marked course covering distances from 2200m for the year 7’s to 6400m for the senior boys with some excellent results.
In the end it was a very strong Ivybridge team who took the overall spoils with first place in all age groups except the senior boys but with an excellent year 7 entry from Sir John Hunt it was a very noticeable second in the boys and sixth in the girls which made heads turn.
Well done to all involved including the sports leaders from Lipson who marshalled the course and to the various hares who ran each and every event.
