  • Due to the recent announcement of the cutting of the SSCO Partnership, at this time we are only allowing schools to have 6 PLT days this will include the coaching days you have requested for this year.  We will keep you up to date with further funding announcements.


  • Teacher in charge of football: Please find attached information regarding a new scheme that is trying to be set up to support Female development between girl’s football and adult football.  We envisage such a programme will allow us to keep our talented girls in the area, and hopefully begin to challenge some of the bigger cities Further Education programmes. The closing date for this event is Friday 3rd December 2010; however it may close early if all 2000 places are filled.   • Design BADMINTON England's 2010 Christmas Card. Badminton England would like to invite all Affiliated Schools to use their imagination to design a badminton themed Christmas Card.  The winning design will be selected by Adrian Christy, Chief Executive of BADMINTON England and used as the creative for the Christmas card that will be sent to all BADMINTON England members and partners.  The winner will also receive two tickets to the Semi Final Day at the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships on Saturday 12 March 2010 and a BADMINTON England Goodie Bag. Three runners up will receive a BADMINTON England Goodie Bag and have their designs published in the December BADMINTON England e-newsletter along with the winning design. All four successful designers will be contacted by the Membership Team to be notified of their success the week commencing the 6 December 2010 and informed of when their prizes will arrive.  So get designing and email your cards, along with your name, date of birth, membership number and email address, to: [email protected]  with the subject heading, 'Christmas Card Competition’.   • Reminder: The YST is really keen to receive information on best practice PE in primary schools from PDMs and SSCOs.
