  • Secondary teachers in charge of rugby(league) we have scheduled the nine a side competition for the afternoon of Wednesday 21st April. It will take place at King George V Playing Fields in Elburton. We are also happy to support this with three free coaching sessions delivered into each school. I have attached a sheet for you to indicate your preferred time and days for these sessions - we will do our best to accommodate all preferences from our resource of Level 2 qualified coaches in the area. As these sessions will be delivered in the next few weeks throughout March, the sooner I have your reply, the better. On 21st April, there will be separate competitions for Year 8 and Year 9. As pupils can 'play up' one year, you are welcome to include Y7 pupils in the Y8 competition, or to combine Y8 & Y9 into the older age group. There is no limit to squad size, nor any limit to substitutions within each match, so every participant can be involved. If you have a squad of more than 18 players, you are very welcome to enter two teams from your school in each age group. All children can be coached together, so long as we know if there are Y7's and Y9's in the combined group. The Plymouth Titans community club will be running a Sport Unlimited programme at Stonehouse Creek, starting on 9th May, to support their under 13 and under 15 junior teams, so all participants will have an exit route into community rugby activity in support of the 5 hour offer. Please contact Joe Catcheside on 07710 547684 for further information or download the attached form.
