PLympton Family KS1 Multi Skills 2022

Thursday 24th March 2022  - Another fantastic morning of sport at Plympton Academy today: young leaders from our school hosted 6 primary school teams for our annual KS1 Multi Skills festival. Teams from Oreston, St. Mary’s, Bickleigh Down, Compton, Chaddlewood and Plympton St. Maurice all came along to take part in our skills based competition. The activities ranged from tests of skill and accuracy with the Bean Bag Throw; team events such as a Sprint Relay and Ladder Relay; speed and agility with the Speed Bounce and even a test of strength with the Chest Push challenge. There was such a great atmosphere here this morning and it was fantastic to see so many children taking part and having fun. I would like to say a huge thank you to our team of young leaders, you really made this event so much fun for the children and made sure that this is an event that they will remember. Thank you as well to all of the staff who brought their children along, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. Every child that took part today received a certificate and the overall winning team received a special certificate. Congratulations to Oreston, who were our overall winners on the day, having accumulated the most points across the 5 scored events. Congratulations to Chaddlewood team as well, who were very close in second place. A full break down of the results can be found below. A huge well done to all of the teams who took part today, we could see how hard you were all trying to get points for your teams and we were all very proud of you – I hope you would be keen to come back again to take part in another Plympton Academy event.
