Year 3&4 Indoor Athletics 09.02.2022

The first of our Year 3&4 Indoor Athletics events took place on the 9^th of February at Plymouth Life Centre.

7 teams were eager to take part which consisted of 12 athletes in each team (6 boys and 6 girls). The field events were standing long jump, speed bounce, chest push and javelin throw. Meanwhile on the track there was the 1+1, 4 Lap Paarlauf, 2+2, 4x1 relay and finally the obstacle relay.

The events kicked off with the girls first on the track and the boys on the field events. There were some really good results throughout the day, testing all of the athletes abilities through strength, speed and balance. On the track there were some really close results and different schools winning the heats. After the final obstacle relay the results were calculated. A huge well done to everyone but in particular Montpelier who won the event with 310 points! Second place went to Compton with 276 points, joint third went to Hyde Park and Leigham with a score of 220.
