Bee Netball

This year, in line with the new guidelines from the School Games, we ran three different Netball events as follows:

Monday saw a fun festival where pupils came to have a go at netball and represent their school. They started with a carousel of different skill builder activities to learn the bascs of netball. Then they all went on to play a round robin of games and put what they have learnt into practice with the help of leaders and teachers on the sidelines.

Tuesday was our 'Development day'. Pupils came to put their knowledge of Bee netball into practice and play games against the other schools that came. Our young leaders and teachers were there to support coaching from the sidelines and improve their knowledge. Games were non scoring and was a great way for pupils to represent the school in relaxed games against other schools.

Wednesday was our competition day. 11 schools were split into two pools and played a round robin of matches against each other. Today they were scored and the winner and runner up from each pool will advance to the Devon wide competition this academic year. These were Bickleigh Down, Eggbuckland Vale, Glen Park and Leigham.

A huge well done and thank you to the 29 teams that came to learn, give it a go and compete over the three days. Each person did very well and took on each challenge with a big smile on your faces! Take a look at the photos below of Perry the Birmingham 22 mascot meeting some of our teams!
