The School Games network does incredible work in schools which has an amazing impact on the lives of children and young people.

This has never been clearer thanks to the achievements of the community during the pandemic, which saw the network go above and beyond for those in need.

It’s so important that we celebrate and shout about the fantastic work you do, not just so we can all see the scope of what the network achieve together, but also to allow the School Games to continue to grow and adapt to changing needs of young people.

Sometimes the hard work you do and achievements you have secured for young people are not seen by those not involved in your work day to day. That’s why the School Games Impact Awards have been launched, as a way for these achievements to be recognised within our community.

How Does it Work?

Case studies are submitted on a termly basis to discover the impact had on young people from across the country. One case study per outcome is chosen each term, leading to 15 case studies being considered for the top prize at the end of year activity Impact Awards.

At these awards, one entry is chosen per outcome based upon the greatest impact had on young people. The categories are all based on the School Games outcomes and will help us to amplify the collective impact of the network through some personal stories/journeys.

These outcomes act as categories, and are as follows:

  • Engaging School
  • Development Champions
  • Those in Need
  • Secondary School Focus
  • Opportunity Supporters

This year, the Impact Awards will also include a Commonwealth Games Impact category to honour Birmingham 2022! This means we’ll have 6 categories a term, and 18 at the Impact Awards ceremony.

Who Can Enter?

SGOs, Active Partnerships, NGBs, and Schools can enter the Impact Awards via the School Games dashboard.

What Do You Get?

All termly entries will be celebrated at the end of each submission session.

Each shortlisted entrant will receive digital assets to be used on email, social media, and your website so you can showcase your impact on young people in your working day-to-day and inspire the rest of the network.

How Do I Enter?
