Tor Bridge Family Y5/6 Football 01.12.2021

A fantastic turnout despite the bitterly cold conditions for our Tor Bridge Family Y5/6 Football event at Tor Bridge High.

6 teams came along this afternoon representing  Bickleigh Down, Leigham, St. Matthew’s, Widewell and Thornbury.

We played a round robin style event so that all of the teams could play each other. 5 points were awarded for a win, 3 points for a draw and 1 point for a loss. There were some excellent games today, very evenly matched as we had several drawn games. At the end of the afternoon, the points were tallied and the winners announced… Congratulations to Leigham Primary who were the overall winners today, having won all of their games!

Well done to everyone who played today and well done to the teachers/staff for cheering you on in freezing conditions—you will be pleased to know our next event is an indoor one.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the fantastic Y10 boys who volunteered their time to referee for us—you did a fantastic job and thanks to you, the event was a huge success—thank you!
