Tor Bridge Indoor Athletics 15.11.2021

On Monday 15^th of November the PSSP hosted the Tor Bridge Family Indoor Athletics event at Torbridge High School. We welcomed 3 schools; Bickleigh Down, Leigham and Widewell

The event started with the girls on the track competing in the 1+1 Lap and 6 Lap Parlauf whilst the boys were taking part in the standing long jump and the triple jump. Boys and girls would then switch.

The other field events were the chest push and the speed bounce and we finished with the boys and girl’s obstacle relays. There were some really competitive races on the track with a mixture of teams winning whilst the field events were also very competitive with some impressive scores by the athletes. Some of the schools didn’t bring 12 athletes which meant that some children had to run nearly every race!

There were some very red, tired but happy faces towards the end of the event. A huge well done to all the athletes for taking part. And congratulations to Bickleigh Down who won the competition.
