Plympton St. Maurice Level 1 Archery 21.06.21

Monday 21st June 2021 – Despite the horrendous downpour, we were still able to go ahead with our Level 1 Archery event this afternoon. Y5 were up first with Y6 along in the second session. We started off the afternoon with the all-important safety rules – never the most exciting aspect to a sports event but essential none the less. Next, we looked at how to correctly nock an arrow and draw the bow string. After a couple of practice shots, we started the event by trying to score as many points as possible with 2 arrows. I was very impressed with how quickly everyone picked it up. Less impressed with how quickly they beat my scores! All in all, another fun session learning some new skills in PE. Hopefully, we can pick this up again in the next couple of weeks – I clearly need the practice!
