Sherford Vale Level 1 Dodgeball 09.06.2021

Wednesday 09th June 2021 – Another action-packed morning today at Sherford for our next Level 1 competition. Today Y5 and Y6 were introduced to the deceptively tactical game of Dodgeball.

As a starting point, we went over the basic rules but then gradually introduced some of the more complex rules. At first glance, Dodgeball can seem very straight forward but as our teams found out, there are a lot more rules and tactics when we play the full game.

After some practice games, it was into our round-robin tournament. We didn’t formally collate any scores today, but we did have a lot of fun playing against all the different teams. We also introduced a ‘good sportsmanship’ focus by demonstrating Teamwork, Honesty and Respect.

All in all, it was a successful and energetic morning – I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.
