Lipson Family Year 5 Sports day 09.06.2021

Wednesday 9th June saw five primary schools arrive at Lipson Cooperative Academy to take part in the first Year 5 Sports day event this year.

Due to Covid-19 the event was created around the use of school bubbles. So to start with, five stations were made up to test some fundamental skills such as hand-eye coordination, reaction and power etc. These stations went down really well. In the afternoon we had some traditional track races which included sprinting, relay and obstacle to name only a few. Again this was done in a Covid safe way, but the children were still able to enjoy the compeititiveness that it brought.

Overall, the schools that took part were brilliant. Everyone looked to be having fun, and it was nice to see the schools engaging in an event like this again. 

The final positions are found below. Well done to all those that took part, and we look forward to seeing you all again for this event next year. 

5th position - Lipson Vale (269 points)

4th position - Prince Rock (288 points)

3rd position - Laira Green (315 points)

2nd position - Mount Street (317 points)

1st position - Salisbury Road (357 points)
