Leigham Level 1 Dodgeball Competition

Tuesday 30th March 2021 – What a fantastic afternoon of fun in the sunshine at Leigham! Today we hosted the Y5 House Dodgeball championship. To start us off, we went over the basic rules but then gradually introduced some of the more complex rules. At first glance, Dodgeball can seem very straight forward but as our teams found out, there are a lot more rules and tactics when we play the full game. After some practice games, it was into our round-robin tournament. For today, we allocated 5 points for a win, 3 points for a draw and 1 point for a loss. Bonus points were also up for grabs to anyone demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship qualities such as Teamwork, Respect and Honesty. We had so much fun today that the afternoon flew by and before we knew it, we were counting the scores to reveal the winning team… Congratulations to Saltram who were our overall winners! It was a great effort all round though and we were incredibly proud of all the teams for the amount of bonus points that they accumulated for Honesty and Respect, it really made for such an enjoyable afternoon – well done everyone.
