Wembury Year 5/6 Level 1 Basketball

'Team work makes the dream work' is certainly a slogan held onto by the teams involved in the Wembury basketball tournament today. This round robin event involved boys and girls from red, blue, green and yellow houses in year 5 and 6 The games were closesly contested and although baskets scored were few there were many attempts and close calls where we watched the ball circle the hoop before falling into the hands of a defender!  Players displayed some great team work communicating  and  co-operating throughout the matches.

Pupils were able to practice their skills over a basketball themed circuit whilst they were waiting to play their next game.

Results:

1st - Blue team - 9 points

2nd - Green team - 6 points

3rd - Red team - 3 points + 2 baskets

4th - Yellow team - 3 points
