Wembury Level 1 Team Duathlon December 2020

Over the last couple of weeks pupils from Wembury in Years 4, 5 and 6 have been taking part in a Level 1 team Duathlon competition.

Pupils were given the task of organising their own teams of 2 or 3 within their house groups to participate in this run bike run event. This event has highlighted the need for children to take part in events which promote competition and team work. 

I was delighted to witness the children supporting each other as individuals,  teams and as a class as well as performing to the very best of their abilities and digging deep when they found it tough.  As the days went by the course became much trickier, slippier, muddier and the weather colder, wetter and windier!  Well done to everyone!

Congratulations to Archie, AJ and Lucy who recorderd the fastest overall time of !0 mins and 37 seconds and to the Yellow team who were overall winners with a combined time of 1 hour 35 minutes and 57 seconds.
