Hole in One Footgolf at Goosewell 02.12.2020

Year 6 pupils from Goosewell took part in the final footgolf session of the year today.

Footgolf is a mixture of golf and football. It began in the early 2000s in the Netherlands and is performed with a football but in combination with the rules of golf. Every stroke is made by kicking with the feet, thus without golf clubs.

An enthusiastic group first practiced kicking for accuracy then for distance before taking on both the short and long course game. As well as developing their football skills this activity requires good stamina - one pupil read his fitbit and realised he had already done over 5,000 steps and it wasnt even break time!

Well done to everybody for their enthusiasm,  for the competitive spirit in which they all took part and congratulations to those in the photo who, on atleat one occasion, scored 'a hole in one'!
