House teams of children in Years 3, 4 5 and 6 have been competing against each other over the last 2 weeks in a level 1 New Age Kurling competition. I have been really impressed by all of the children and their ability to pick up a new game and improve over the course of a morning. The children seemed to enjoy the skill element of the game - sending the stone across the floor to accurately land it on target. They gained alot of satisfaction from competing as a team and playing tactically to often dislodge their opponents stones from the target to gain an advantage.
Final scores are as follows:
1st place - Green team - 162 - points
2nd place - Red team - 157 points
3rd place - Yellow team - 134 points
4th place - Blue team - 130 points
