PSSP Year 3&4 Indoor Athletics 26.02.2020

Wednesday 26th February we had our final, Year 3&4 Indoor Athletics events at the Life Centre where we had 84 Year 3&4 athletes from 7 schools who were going to compete against each other in a number of different track and field events!

In the field we had events such as standing long jump, chest push, speed bounce and soft javelin and on the track we had events such as 1+1 lap relay, 2+2 lap relay, 4x1 lap relay, 6 lap paarlauf and once all these had been completed we had the event that everyone loves... the obstacle race which involves the athletes running through the high stepper, then onto the speed bounce, jumping over a hurdle before using the reversa board to turn back and run all the way back

while the girls were on the track, the boys were in the field trying to gain valuable points for their teams and once they were done they would swap over and vice versa, it was very close throughout the whole competition and came down to the obstacle race right at the end, and the results finished as follows:

Bickleigh down- 216 points

Montpelier- 210 points

Compton- 190 points

Woodford- 154 points

High view 100 points

St Peters RC- 80 points

Marine Academy- 64 points

Well done and thank you to all the athletes that took part you all did very well, and thankyou to all the leaders who helped out with the event and helped the event to run smoothly.
