Primary Inclusive Boccia 29.01.2020

A great start to our Inclusive Boccia program for 2020. A team of young leaders from Eggbuckland Community College hosted our PSSP Primary Inclusive Boccia event for 4 local schools: St. Edwards, Austin Farm, Beechwood and Wembury.

No experience was necessary for this event, schools were invited to send a team of children along to take part in a relaxed, friendly competition and have a go at trying a new sport.

On arrival, the children were greeted by our fantastic team of Young Leaders who showed them how to play and taught them the rules. After that, we got straight into some games and played a round-robin system so that everyone had played each other by the end.

This event is a great example of how practice can help us to improve: all the teams quickly became more and more accurate, so we adapted game play today in order to increase the level of challenge. This event is really all about having fun and I certainly enjoyed it.

Well done to everyone who took part today, you all played brilliantly, and I hope that you all enjoyed it too?  Thank you to our great team of Young Leaders – you really made this event a lot of fun for everyone.
