Lipson Family Football Festival 23.01.2020

This very cold evening saw upto 90 students decend upon Lipson for the annual family football festival. The event was organised by the Year 9 JSLA students and what a job they did!. Years 3&4 took part in a small tournament which saw all the schools play against each other twice to make sure that they stayed warm and active. This became a real contest amongst the schools involved with some great football and sportsmanship being shown. The overall top 3 saw Prince Rock in 3rd position, Salisbury Road in 2nd position and Laira Green in 1st. The reaction of the winning team was incredible, and makes events like this so worth while.

The years 5&6 also took part in a tournament with games lasting for longer and a half time being given for additional coaching to take place. Again the football being shown was of an amazing standard. The top 3 for this age group were in 3rd position Prince Rock, High View A were 2nd and in 1st position was Salisbury Road.

Overall a great evening. Thank you to all the JSLA students who planned and delivered this event with such confidence. The refereeing was excellent and the feedback from both staff and parents was amazing and so was the coaching and scoring. Finally to all the children, staff and parents who attend and support these events. Without them it just wouldnt happen.

Until next year.
