U15 Indoor Boys Cricket

On Friday the 6th of January the PSSP hosted the Level 2 Boys U15 Indoor cricket competition at Plympton Academy. 6 schools had entered the competition, they were St.Boniface, Plympton Academy, Plymstock, Heles, Stoke Damerel and Devonport High School for Boys.

Because there was only one sports hall available, it meant that only two teams were playing at a time however that made for great spectating as everyone could watch each other! The teams were split into two pools of three with everyone playing two teams each. Following this, both 3rdplaced teams played each other, then second from each group played first from the other pool to determine who would qualify for the level 3 competition in March.

There were some close games to be had towards the closing stages and some really good cricket on show, the two teams to qualify for the level 3 event were Plymstock and St.Boniface who will both represent Plymouth in the countywide event in March. We had time for a final game between the two qualifiers in which St. Boniface came out as overall winners. Big congratulations to them and a well done to all competitors.

Thank you to Devon Cricket for helping run the event and Plympton Academy for allowing us to use their facilities
